Introduction
The year is coming to an end.  It is Christmas seasons soon.  What is it going to be like for FCC?  

Before we lose our focus as the world has done so, let us remember the central figure of Christmas.  He is not an old man with a white beard, nor is it a tree where everybody is making a fuss over, nor is it a time to spend on your bonus on gifts for everyone except God.

Yes, that is what most of our friends think it is all about but we know better.  It is about the child who came to this world more than 2000 years ago.  Christmas is special because God came.  Christmas is history made, in the words of Rev Dr Billy Graham, “The greatest moment in history is not when man landed on moon but when God landed on earth.”

On Christmas day, we proclaim of the child who was born.  Who is this child?  He is the Son of David, the Son of Mary, Son of Man and the Son of God  Sovereignty
: Supernatural,: Servant, : Savior

Son of David: The Sovereign King
To the Jews, he is the promised King of Israel.  A king is what Israel was looking for since ages passed.  In history, kings come and go, some are good and some are evil.  However, in the prophecies of old, is promised to them a king who will reign forever.  That coming king comes from the line of King David.  They still await for this king when he came and they did not recognize him.

To the church, we welcome this child who is not just the King of Israel but the Sovereign king of all.  He has come and he will come again as prophesied.

How do we welcome this king in our hearts?May He be sovereign in our hearts and lives.  Let us bow in submission to Him who loves, redeems and calls us. 

Son of Mary: The Supernatural Child
It has puzzled Mary when the news came to her that she will conceive a child by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Today, many are puzzled as to the possibility of a virgin’s conception.  

What about us?  I trust that it is not puzzling but simply amazing that God would do that for our sake.  It only goes to show us that He is God and the Holy One of Israel.  Thus His coming must be special and supernatural. What seems impossible to man is possible with God.  How then are we to proclaim this Child?  May we believe in the impossibility as well in our lives this Christmas.May He be our hope in moments of hopelessness, our strength in times of adversity.  May Christmas bring in a ray of hope.

Son of Man: The Servant of all
What else about this child?  He is called the Son of Man, simply because He came not to be served, but to serve and gave His life as a ransom for many.

The God whom we all must serve chose to come to us to serve us.  What more can we ask?  He was the Son of Man, in that he took our place of sin and punishment that we may have life.  We are forgiven, because He was condemned.  

How then are we to make known this Child?  May we reflect the likeness of God, to live a life of service and love as He did.  Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in me.

Son of God: The Savior God
Finally, this child is the Son of God, no lesser than that.  He is the direct representation of God - the very image of God.  While man seek to know who God is, God has made himself known.

His name is Jesus, which means Jehovah Saves.  This Child came with one mission in mind - to save the world.  He died so that we might live!  What the world needs now is not an educator or a philosopher.  There are plenty of them.  What the world needs now is a Savior who will save us from our sins.

How then are to declare this Child?  May we proclaim, share this news, be a positive witness to the salvation God has provided for us in Jesus Christ.

Conclusion
We make no apology in proclaiming this Child because it is the greatest thing that has happen - a great and wonderful King who will rule our lives with wisdom, a Supernatural Child who brings hope to the impossibles, the Servant who serve us and taught us to serve others and the Savior who has redeemed us so that we can have peace with God.  Let us proclaim him, loud and clear.  MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
