Speaker: Rev. Daniel
Romans 5:12-21
Introduction
What does it mean to be restored?
Key verse :
“For as by the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous.”
A. SIN INTRODUCED (12-14)
1. It all started with one man
“Just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin”
2. It continued with all man (13)
“Because all sinned, as sin was already in the world..”
3. It persisted with or without the law (13-14)
With or without the law, we have sinned.
B. GRACE INTERVENED (15-17)
1. Grace intervened and canceled death
“those who receive the abundance of grace… reign in life through Jesus Christ”
2. Grace intervened and condemnation removed
“for the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brought justification.
C. RESTORATION IMPLEMENTED (18-21)
One man’s disobedience > death, One man’s obedience > life
• From sinners to saints
• From death to life
• From condemnation to justification.
